The highly touted ESPN Africa Boxing will return with its sixteenth show on Thursday, April 21.
The promotion kicks off the second quarter with one of its most stacked events featuring nine bouts in total on the card. Whilst the last two events in the ESPN Africa Boxing series have witnessed fighters stepping in to claim vacant championships, this month’s event sees two already-occupied championships being put on the line, with the risk of a change in both championship holders looming.
In the explosive main event, Andile Mntungwa (6-4-1) challenges undefeated Cowin Ray (7-0-0) for the South Africa (SA) Super Middleweight Championship.
In the co-main event, Bangile Nyangani (11-1-1) will defend his SA Mini-Flyweight Championship against veteran Loyiso Ngantweni (10-15-5). Preceding those two closing bouts will be seven other fights showcasing some of the best boxing talent that the African continent has to offer across several divisions.
