Captain of Nigeria’s boxing national contingents Ekele Danuloko has called on the Nigeria Boxing Federation to ensure they camp boxers early enough as soon as they get a timeline for the world boxing Olympics qualifiers in France.
In doing so, this would ensure that boxers are adequately prepared for the tougher world qualifying window which is the last window for the boxing event of the Tokyo 2021.
Danuloko speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said camping for a week or two like they’ve always done before in a crash program won’t be good enough like having good time and the right level of training tour for adequate exposure to put Nigerian boxers in a better position to seal Olympic qualification spots at the world qualifying tournament in France.
“What they need to do now is to put us in camp early that will make us to prepare very well for the qualifying competition and not camping for one week or two weeks to go for a competition. Just give us camping early like two months camping to the tournament, then give us exposure we go for training tour.”
