New York-based Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin will not fight Ghana’s Emmanuel Larttey July 26 in the headliner of Boxing Insider Promotion’s bill at the Tropicana in Atlantic City.
Instead Wallin will confront Nigerian Onoriode Ehwarieme in a scheduled eight-round contest. Ehwarieme represented his country in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing but during his past two fights recorded two of his four defeats.
Both have stablemates with the recently retired Anthony Yigit, but not at the same time, and not with the same promoter.
The cruiserweight Kevin Melhus fights the mixed martial artist Emil Meek on September 21 at the Spectrum in Oslo, in what represents an all-Norwegian match-up.
Meek has a 10-7 record in mixed martial arts. Partly because they are boxing, Melhus is the favourite to win, but he risks his reputation.
There will also be a contest between two celebrities, and two other professional boxing matches. The promoters, Norway Box Promotion, hope to make all each of them all-Norwegian affairs.
