Former WBO Africa light heavyweight champion Brimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, insists he is a technically better boxer than Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
Deontay Wilder held the WBC world heavyweight title from 2015-2020 , making him boxing’s longest reigning champion since Wladimir Klitschko. He is also tied with Muhammad Ali at 10 world title defenses.
Meanwhile, the undefeated Fury is a two-time world heavyweight champion who currently holds the coveted WBC strap. He’s ended the two longest title reigns in modern times (Wladimir Klitschko and the aforementioned Wilder) and is considered the best heavyweight in the world today.
Of course, none of this matters to Kamoko.
“You know me, you know I am a good boxer. You know I have the boxing talent so when I say I’ll beat someone don’t doubt me, pray for me instead,” he said in an interview with Joy Sports. “The Black man [Wilder] or Red man [Fury] they cannot fit [beat] me, the two of them cannot. I swear, I swear, I swear with God [that] those two boxers cannot. With how far I’ve gotten in boxing?
“I have been inactive because I have had trouble with my eyes but I am the world champion in Ghana. What are you telling me?”
Bukom Banku is expected to make a return to the ring in the first quarter of this year.
