Former WBO Africa 154-pound champion Patrick Allotey will face Victus Kemavor at the Idrowhyt Events Centre in Accra on Saturday, December 26.
This will be the first fight for Ghana’s Allotey (40-4, 30 KOs) since he was knocked out in four one-sided rounds by current middleweight contender Jaime Munguia. That bout, which occurred in September 2019, was for Munguia’s WBO 154-pound title, a belt he later relinquished.
This time, Allotey faces a much softer challenge in his compatriot, Kemevor (11-4, 8 KOs). Kemevor has won only two of his past five bouts, and been stopped twice in that span.
Allotey is a heavy favorite on a card organized by Box Office Promotions in conjunction with Cabic Promotions. Ghana has gone without boxing since the COVID-19 pandemic forced a lockdown in the country.
