Hemanta Kalita, the secretary of the Assam Amateur Boxing Association, has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Asian Boxing Confederation’s Youth commission.
Kalita is the first official from India to be selected to that post. The president of the Boxing Federation of India, Ajay Singh, congratulated Kalita for his appointment in the Asian Body. Kalita is also the post of treasurer in the Boxing Federation of India.
