Ghana’s Fredrick Lawson is back in the win column, following a six-round unanimous decision win over Carlos Winston Velasquez.
Fighting for the first time since his shocking TKO loss to Juan Ruiz in March, Lawson was simply too skilled for 39-year-old Velasquez, who falls to 27-36-2 (17 KOs).
Lawson, 30, 28-2 (21 KOs), came in at a career-high 151lbs. He is expected to continue to return to welterweight going forward.
