Braimah Kamoko, alias Bukom Banku, recorded the 24th KO of his professional career, knocking out German Rojhat Bilgetekin on Saturday in the United Kingdom.
The bout held in Bradford was Banku’s first professional fight outside Ghana but he was undaunted by the change of scenery as he added the previously undefeated Bilgetekin to his list of victims in the third round.
Banku made his years of experience count during the early exchanges with his portly opponent, downing him with a devastating right hook after a barrage of punches.
Banku, who suffered the only loss of his 30-fight career against rival Bastie Samir in 2017 was never in any such danger against Albert as he chased the potbellied German around the ring for the entire fight.
The German resorted to clinching as he landed some feeble punches of his own.
Banku went in for the kill in the third round, with some wild punches. He backed Bilgetekin into a corner, landing some headshots which landed the younger fighter on the canvas.
Bilgetekin did not respond to the count, leading the referee to call for an end to the bout.
