Former world super bantamweight champion Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe of Ghana turned in his final workout ahead of Saturday’s anticipated rematch versus WBO World 122lb. champion Emmanuel Navarrete of Mexico.
Dogboe (20-1, 14 KOs) hopes to avenge his loss to Navarrete (26-1, 22 KOs), which occurred last December. The Mexican won in decisive fashion, battering the rising Ghanaian in the latter rounds to win a comfortable 12-round unanimous decision.
But “Royal Storm” is promising a different outcome this time, stating that he will stop Navarrete inside four rounds and reclaim his spot as the man in the division.
The fight, which will be aired on ESPN starting at 10:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT, takes place at the Tuscan Arena. The card has been dubbed “Twice as Nice.” In the main event, WBC super featherweight world champion Miguel “El Alacran” Berchelt (35-1, 31 KOs) and Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas (25-1-2, 18 KOs) will look to repeat the thrills of their January 2017 match, won by Berchelt via 11th-round knockout.
