Windhoek-International Boxing Organization super bantamweight world champion Paulus Ambunda, who is also a former WBO World Bantamweight Champion, has penned down an agreement with Ringstar Management.
Ringstar Boxing has increased in popularity throughout Asia, with shows broadcast worldwide via international broadcast partners.
With this new agreement, Ambunda will now join other world-class boxers managed and promoted by Ringstar, such as IBO World Bantamweight Champion Michael Dasmarinas and IBO Intercontinental Featherweight champion Muhamad Ridhwan.
“I am happy to sign with Ringstar Management and I look forward to my upcoming fights, under the Ringstar banner” Ambunda said.
Ambunda’s trainer Imms Moses explains how the three -year deal will promote Namibia in the process.
“Ringstar Management will be organizing fights for Ambunda. We will only go for fights, but we will train here as usual. By getting him fights and he does well and this may in future pave way to other boxers from our country” Moses said.
As it stands, the 38-year-old Ambunda has won 26 out of his 28 fights, losing only twice.
Ambunda has become the third boxer under Imms Moses to sign an agreement with foreign based promotions, following Julius Indongo and Sackaria Lukas.
