Tyson Fury’s return to peak physical condition is near complete as he weighed an impressive 258lbs ahead of his showdown tonight versus Francesco Pianeta.
Italy’s Pianeta, 35-4-1 (21 KOs) came in at 254lbs. Watch the full weigh-in here:
Fury, 26-0 (19 KOs), managed to come in 18lbs lighter than he did for his original comeback against Sefer Seferi back in June.
Fury seemed a much leaner figure than he did for his first in-ring outing in nearly 1,000 days earlier this year, against Sefer Seferi. Fury won that bout when Seferi retired after four rounds, but failed to impress, both in physique and in performance.
For context, when Fury fought and defeated the legendary Wladimir Klitschko back in 2015 to become the lineal world heavyweight champion, he entered the ring at 247lbs.
WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, 40-0 (39 KOs), will be in attendance in Windsor Park when ‘The Gypsy King’ throws tonight and if Tyson is, in fact, victorious, a fight between the two could be officially announced as soon as next week.
