A 10-round UBF Super Flyweight title bout between Tyrieshia “Lady Tiga” Douglas of Baltimore, MD and Helen “Iron Lady” Joseph of New Haven, CT by way of Nigeria ended in a majority draw.
Coming into the bout it seemed as if the speed of Douglas would be the deciding factor, but the pressure of Joseph quickly changed that for Douglas. Joseph had Douglas backing up most of the fight. Douglas was the less busier of the two but, she seemed to land just as many shots as Joseph did. Nevertheless, many felt the decision should have gone in Joseph’s favor. Judge Don Risher scored the bout 98-92 for Joseph but was overruled by David Braslow and John Gradowski who scored it 95-95.
Tyrieshia Douglas is now (13-11, 6 KO’s) while Helen Joseph adds a second draw to her record, (11-3-2, 10 KO’s).

The debuting Travis “Holy” Toledo of the Bronx, NY got the TKO victory over Marvin Johnson of Baltimore, MD. The bout started with Johnson having the upper hand by landing some devastating power shots that hurt Toledo early in the first-round. It was Toledo who closed that round off strong when he had Johnson hurt at the sound the bell. Toledo capitalized on his strong first-round finish by jumping on Johnson from the start of round two.
